Community Guidelines

Animal Abuse

We have a zero-tolerance policy toward the mistreatment or exploitation of animals. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to:

Unlawful hunting practices.
Cruelty such as maiming, mutilation, torture, wounding, or killing of animals when it goes beyond customary practices (e.g., legal hunting or standard food preparation).
Illicit trade, trafficking, or commercial exploitation of endangered animals and their by-products.
Any sexual exploitation of animals, including bestiality.

Bullying

We do not tolerate harassment, threats, or any form of targeted abuse toward others. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

Cyberbullying, shaming, blackmailing, doxxing, or other forms of threatening behavior, such as insulting or publicly humiliating someone based on their physical appearance, intelligence, or character.
Statements expressing intent of harm or advocating violence toward any person(s).
Content encouraging self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders in a way that promotes or normalizes these behaviors.
Persistent stalking, harassment, or abusive conduct aimed at an individual or group.

Child Endangerment

We absolutely prohibit placing minors at risk in any capacity, which includes but is not limited to:

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), encompassing any depiction of sexual abuse, exploitation, or inappropriate content featuring minors. This includes child nudity and material intended to arouse or depict torture, cruelty, or physical abuse of minors or their sensitive body parts. If we encounter such material, we will report it to the appropriate authorities or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), as legally required. A single violation of this policy may lead to account suspension.
Important Note: As outlined by the Platform Providers’ Terms of Service, if your event admits minors (those under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction), a parent or legal guardian must register or purchase tickets on their behalf. Additionally, our platform and Services may not be used to directly collect data from any individual under the age of majority in the relevant jurisdiction.

Controlled Substances (Including Cannabis)

Prescription Medication and Other Controlled Substances

We forbid the illegal or unauthorized sale, distribution, or use of prescription drugs or other controlled substances. This includes, but is not limited to:

Illegal or unauthorized sale, consumption, manufacturing, possession, importation, exportation, or use of prescription medication or controlled substances.

Cannabis

Our restrictions on cannabis include, but are not limited to:

Selling cannabis or cannabis-infused items (including those containing cannabis- or hemp-derived cannabinoids) as part of a ticket purchase.
Free or discounted cannabis or cannabis-infused products bundled with a ticket purchase (including infused items meant for consumption at the event or included in gift bags).
Training or instruction in cultivating, preparing, or producing cannabis or cannabis-infused products.
Any unlawful use, solicitation, sale, distribution, or advertisement of cannabis or cannabis-based products.

Note: If your event mentions or involves cannabis, you are responsible for adhering to the laws in your jurisdiction regarding licensing, event type, and marketing restrictions.

Dangerous Organizations or Individuals

We prohibit content or actions that endorse or facilitate dangerous entities. Specifically:

Promoting or glorifying organized crime or terrorist organizations.
Using coded references or symbols linked to such organizations.
Praising or defending violent acts committed by criminal groups or terrorists.

Exploitation

We ban any content or behavior involving exploitation of individuals, such as:

Coercing, defrauding, or forcing someone into labor, services, or a commercial sex act (e.g., sex trafficking, forced labor, illegal organ trade, forced marriage).
Disseminating non-consensual content, including private or sexual images shared without consent (e.g., revenge porn, up-skirt photos).
Sharing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) that places minors at risk. As noted under Child Endangerment, any discovered instances of CSAM may be reported to NCMEC and law enforcement. Even one such violation can lead to account suspension.

Fraud

We prohibit any deceptive or dishonest practices aimed at cheating people or businesses out of money or personal data, including:

Selling tickets to non-existent or fraudulent events.
Using stolen credentials to buy tickets or gain unauthorized account access.
Phishing for sensitive personal or financial data, or attempting to install malware on a user’s device.
Scam offers, such as “Get Rich Quick” schemes, fake credit repair services, or other deceptive opportunities.

Gambling, Raffles, Sweepstakes, or Giveaways

We restrict certain types of gambling activities, raffles, sweepstakes, or giveaways, including:

Online casino events taking place virtually.
Ticket bundles that involve betting, lotteries, or games of chance.
Giveaways offering prohibited items (e.g., illicit drugs, weapons).
Raffles, sweepstakes, or giveaways that:
- Are not held in person at a live event, or
- Are otherwise forbidden by applicable law.

Note: If you create events involving such activities, you must follow all legal requirements and restrictions in your jurisdiction.

Harmful Misinformation

We forbid the spread of misleading or false content that could harm individuals or public safety, including:

Misleading content encouraging violence against a person or group.
Unscientific or medically unsound health advice that poses a risk to attendees’ well-being or public safety.
False claims undermining elections or civic processes, such as:
- Providing deceptive information about voting to deter people from participating.
- Encouraging illegal participation or impersonation.
- Making baseless claims aimed at delegitimizing election outcomes.

Hate Speech

We treat hate speech as any content disparaging or attacking a person or group based on protected characteristics, including race, sex, ethnicity, religion, national origin, immigration status, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or veteran status. Prohibited behaviors include:

Dehumanization, such as comparing protected groups to animals or diseases.
Negative claims about one’s physical, moral, or mental capacity.
Harmful stereotypes or statements historically used to intimidate, exclude, or incite violence (e.g., blackface, Holocaust denial).
Expressions of hate explicitly directed at protected individuals, including “I hate,” “I despise,” “I do not respect,” etc.
Intentional misclassification of a person’s identity in order to shame or degrade them.
Promotion of supremacist ideologies, implying one group is superior to another.
Use of harmful slurs historically employed to degrade or exclude.
Event or social exclusion aimed solely at protected groups without legitimate cause.
Encouraging harm or death befalling members of a protected group.
Targeted, extreme insults or profane language focused on protected traits.

Illegal Content and Activities

We prohibit listing or promoting any activity that is unlawful under relevant laws, which may include:

Manufacture, sale, or use of illegal substances or products.
Pyramid schemes or other illegally structured operations.
Any event or activity that violates the law in your jurisdiction.

Interference with Integrity and Security of Platform Providers’ Services

We ban any actions that threaten the safety or proper functioning of our Services, such as:

Attempting to interfere with or disrupt our platform or network.
Uploading or distributing malware, viruses, spyware, or other harmful code.
Sharing login credentials (such as email or password) among multiple team members. We recommend each individual use their own login through our roles/permissions feature.

Invasion of Privacy

We do not permit violations of personal privacy, including:

Collecting or distributing sensitive data (e.g., credit card numbers, financial details, social security numbers) unless it is absolutely necessary for event administration and cannot be gathered through alternative methods.

Misrepresentation

We prohibit any deceptive claims about your identity or event details. Examples include:

Unauthorized event listings, such as selling tickets to venues without permission.
Redirecting payments offline or to other platforms in a misleading way.
Multi-level marketing with exaggerated or unverifiable claims of financial gain.
Impersonating individuals or entities (including public figures or government officials).
False claims of affiliation or endorsement by Platform Providers.
Facilitating transactions unrelated to event tickets (other than approved merchandise add-ons that abide by local regulations and our Terms of Service).

Nudity or Sexual Content

We restrict content depicting or describing sexual acts, explicit nudity, or the sale of sexual services. This includes:

Pornography, or links to pornographic websites.
Images showing nudity or genitalia in a sexualized context.
Content facilitating sexual activities such as prostitution, escort services, or explicit fetish events.
Depictions or promotions of non-consensual, coercive, or exploitative sexual conduct, including incest, bestiality, or necrophilia.
Voyeuristic or intimate images taken or shared without consent.

Note: Certain adult-themed events (e.g., burlesque, nude modeling, or sex-education workshops) may be subject to visibility limits or distribution restrictions based on local norms and regulations.

Reselling

We do not permit resale of tickets in our marketplace beyond the permissible transfer of tickets you originally purchased. Specifically:

Reselling tickets you’ve bought on our platform (or elsewhere) through our marketplace. If needed, you may transfer tickets to a different name or email via the order-editing process.

Spam

We define spam as unsolicited or mass-produced content that aims to deceive, mislead, or otherwise disrupt user experience, often for commercial gain. Examples:

Commercial promotions with no relationship to an event (unless referencing a legitimate event sponsor or selling event-specific merchandise).
Misleading or deceptive links, including unsafe websites that promise one type of content but deliver another.
Search engine manipulation with hidden text or repeated keywords to inflate rankings.
Multiple listings of the same online event in different cities for the sake of boosting search results (unless using our Recurring Events feature).
Sending communications to people who did not opt in, or who have opted out.

Third-Party Rights Infringement

We prohibit violating others’ intellectual property or proprietary rights, such as:

Uploading or distributing any materials (images, logos, text) you’re not authorized to use. If your intellectual property is infringed, follow our Copyright and Trademark Policy for remedies.

Violence and Physical Harm

We do not allow any events or content that promote violence or harm to the community, including:

Extreme cruelty or violence, including advocating for or celebrating severe injury.
Promoting or encouraging sexual violence or any form of non-consensual act.
Instructions or encouragement for suicide or self-harm.
Urging violent behavior, providing resources for violent acts, or celebrating violent events, organizations, or individuals.
Unsafe gatherings without proper safety measures (e.g., extreme sports with no precautions, overcrowded events).
Events promoting dangerous substance use or advocating ingestion of harmful substances.

Weapons and Firearms

We ban any events or listings that facilitate the sale, transfer, or giveaway of:

Firearms (including parts, ammunition, explosives, radioactive or corrosive materials).
Weaponry like knives, bombs, stun guns, or tasers intended to cause harm.
