California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Compliance Statement
1. Introduction
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) took effect on January 1, 2020. Our goal is to ensure compliance with CCPA requirements while making it easy for Vendors to meet their own obligations when using the Platform Providers' services.
This statement explains how Angle Enterprise LLC and PUBLISHER'S LEGAL BUSINESS NAME (DBA PUBLISHER'S BRAND NAME) (collectively, the "Platform Providers") comply with the CCPA and how Vendors should handle consumer data.
2. Platform Providers as a “Business” and a “Service Provider”
Under the CCPA, the Platform Providers act as both a Business and a Service Provider, depending on the context of data collection and processing.
2.1 When Platform Providers Act as a “Business”
We act as a Business (as defined by the CCPA) when we collect and process consumer personal information for our own purposes, including:
- Managing user accounts (both Vendors and Consumers).
- Processing transactions and ticket sales.
- Conducting research and analytics to improve services.
- Providing relevant event recommendations.
2.2 When Platform Providers Act as a “Service Provider”
We act as a Service Provider (as defined by the CCPA) when we process consumer personal information on behalf of Vendors, including:
- Managing attendee data and registrations.
- Sending event-related communications at a Vendor’s request.
- Processing payments and generating event reports.
3. Vendors’ Responsibilities Under CCPA
While the Platform Providers ensure compliance when acting as a Business or Service Provider, Vendors are responsible for their own CCPA compliance when handling Consumer data.
Key Vendor Obligations:
- Vendors must not sell consumer data collected through the platform.
- If a Consumer requests access to or deletion of their personal information, Vendors must forward the request to Platform Providers at privacy@[Platform Provider domain].com. Platform Providers will process the request in accordance with CCPA regulations.
- Vendors must ensure any third-party services they use also comply with the CCPA.
4. Consumer Rights Under CCPA
Consumers have specific rights regarding their personal information under the CCPA, including:
4.1 Access Requests
Consumers can request:
- A summary of what personal information we collect and how it is processed.
- A copy of their personal data stored by Platform Providers.
- Details of any third parties with whom their data has been shared.
Requests can be made through our support page or by emailing support@events.thecityangler.com.
4.2 Deletion Requests
Consumers can request the deletion of their personal information, except where retention is required for:
- Legal or compliance obligations (e.g., financial transaction records).
- Security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
- Vendor analytics and anonymized event reports.
To request deletion, Consumers should visit our support page or by emailing support@events.thecityangler.com.
4.3 Vendor Responsibilities for Deletion Requests
- If a Consumer requests deletion through a Vendor, the Vendor must forward the request to Platform Providers.
- Platform Providers will confirm the request directly with the Consumer before taking action.
- Vendors should not delete or modify consumer data outside of the Platform Providers’ system.
5. CCPA Compliance Measures
To ensure compliance, we have implemented:
- Data Processing Addendum for Vendors: Incorporated into our Terms of Service, outlining our obligations regarding personal information.
- Employee Training: Internal privacy policies updated to align with CCPA.
